Wheel Throwing Week 8: Practice

Signed up for a one-time beginner wheel throwing class at a craft studio near my house. It was $20 for an hour and a half of throwing, and you could keep 2 pieces. It was just me in the “class” and it ended up being just free time to practice. The lady running the studio, although very sweet, wasn’t very helpful. I think she preferred teaching the hand-building classes, but knew just enough on the wheel to do a demo. Anyway, I still enjoyed the free time to practice and test out my throwing skills after almost 4 weeks of not! It was fun, but let’s just say I won’t be taking any pieces home.

Anja, an interesting inquiry and journey. After reading about the experience, I am doubly sure that pottery is not for me. I will just appreciate a great mug and the tea in it instead. Good work! Glad you will continue.
