Hello there! My name is Anja and I am a student in the elementary teacher education PDP program at the University of Victoria! I was always told growing up that I should be a teacher, but it took many years of learning, trying new things and exploring to believe it myself. I hope to become an intermediate grades teacher, but I see the positives of teaching any grade! I am most excited to teach science and art, reflecting my academic background and my personal experiences.
Outside of teaching, I divide my time between outdoor adventures and cozy crafts. I feel most myself camping in the alpine after a long hike or when I’ve lost myself in a sewing or crochet project (that feeling is turbocharged when some yarn and a crochet hook have been squeezed into my trekking bag). I’m currently taking a wheel throwing course which I am very excited to share with everyone for my free inquiry project!
